THIIC.COM Terms of Service

Note: This is a draft for legal review. These policies are pending review by Summit legal counsel before launch.

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of thiic.com and its subdomains (the "Site"). The Site is operated by Summit Audience Segments LLC ("Summit," "we," "us," or "our"). By accessing or using the Site, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Site.

Section 1

Scope

These Terms apply to:

  • The marketing site at thiic.com and pages under that domain
  • The interactive demo at thiic.com/demo
  • The downloadable documents available at thiic.com/downloads

Separate terms govern portal.thiic.com (the authenticated THIIC product), docs.thiic.com (partner documentation), and summitaudiencesegments.com (Summit's commercial site).

Section 2

Permitted Use

The Site is provided as a reference and education resource for the THIIC protocol. You may:

  • Browse, read, and view all pages of the Site for any lawful purpose
  • Download, view, print, and share the non-proprietary documents available at thiic.com/downloads, in their unmodified form, with attribution to Summit
  • Reference and link to the Site from other sources

You may not:

  • Use the Site or its contents in a manner that violates applicable law
  • Attempt to access non-public portions of the Site or related systems
  • Attempt to disrupt the Site's operation, including denial-of-service or excessive automated requests
  • Use the Site or its contents to develop a competing protocol or service that copies Summit's specific architectural approach
  • Modify, repackage, or commercially redistribute the downloadable documents
  • Remove or alter any copyright, trademark, or other proprietary notice from the Site or its contents
  • Misrepresent the nature, source, or authorship of the Site's contents
Section 3

Intellectual Property

THIIC and Tokenized Healthcare Identity Interchange Cryptography are trademarks of Summit Audience Segments LLC. All Site content — including text, graphics, illustrations, the architecture diagram, the cryptographic protocol description, the downloadable documents, and the source code that powers the Site and demo — is owned by Summit or its licensors.

Non-proprietary documents at thiic.com/downloads may be shared in their original, unmodified form for non-commercial reference and educational purposes. The documents themselves remain Summit's intellectual property. Redistribution for commercial gain, modification, derivative works, or repackaging is not permitted without Summit's prior written consent.

The THIIC protocol described on this Site is a specific architectural configuration of standard cryptographic primitives developed by Summit. While the underlying primitives (SHA-256, HKDF-SHA256, AES-256-GCM, ED25519) are publicly specified RFCs and not owned by anyone, Summit's specific implementation, reference clients, architectural designs, and operational documentation are proprietary and are not licensed to the public through this Site.

Section 4

The Demo

The interactive demo at thiic.com/demo is provided for educational and illustrative purposes. The demo runs entirely in your browser. The cryptographic operations shown are real (real SHA-256, real AES-256-GCM, real HKDF-SHA256 via the Web Crypto API), but the data shown is synthetic and generated locally on your device. No data from the demo is transmitted to Summit or any other party.

The demo does not constitute a representation of how production THIIC deployments operate at scale. Production THIIC deployments use additional infrastructure — KMS-backed key management, bilateral mutual TLS or pre-signed S3 transport, hash-chained audit ledgers — described in the THIIC Protocol White Paper available at thiic.com/downloads.

Section 5

No Warranties

The Site and all content are provided "as is" and "as available," without warranty of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Summit disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

The Site contains technical and protocol information presented for educational reference. Nothing on the Site constitutes legal, regulatory, security, or compliance advice. Decisions about whether THIIC or any cryptographic protocol fits a particular partnership context should be made in consultation with qualified counsel, security professionals, and compliance officers familiar with the specific use case.

Section 6

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Summit will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages — including loss of profits, data, or goodwill — arising out of or related to your access to or use of the Site, even if Summit has been advised of the possibility of such damages.

Summit's total cumulative liability for any claim related to the Site will not exceed one hundred U.S. dollars ($100.00).

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain damages. In those jurisdictions, the limitations above apply only to the maximum extent permitted by law.

Section 7

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Summit Audience Segments LLC, its officers, members, employees, and agents, from any claims, damages, or expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from your violation of these Terms or your misuse of the Site.

Section 8

Changes to the Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes will be posted at thiic.com/terms with an updated "Last updated" date. Material changes will be highlighted at the top of the Terms.

Continued use of the Site after a change indicates acceptance of the updated Terms.

Section 9

Changes to the Site

We may modify or discontinue any part of the Site at any time without notice. We are not liable to you or any third party for any modification, suspension, or discontinuation of the Site or any portion of it.

Section 10

Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming, without regard to its conflict-of-law provisions. Any dispute arising out of or related to these Terms or your use of the Site will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Sheridan County, Wyoming, and you consent to personal jurisdiction in those courts.

The United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods does not apply to these Terms.

Section 11

Entire Agreement, Severability, Waiver

These Terms and the Privacy Policy constitute the entire agreement between you and Summit regarding the Site, and supersede any prior agreements. If any provision of these Terms is held invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect. Summit's failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms is not a waiver of that right or provision.
